Lauren Ledbetter - Miss Warner Robins 2007
Lauren Ledbetter, Miss Warner Robins 2007, is a graduate student at the University of Georgia pursuing a Masters degree in Educational Administration and Policy.  In May 2005 Lauren graduated from the University of Georgia, receiving her B.S. degree in Agricultural Communications and a Certificate of Interdisciplinary Leadership and Service.  During her undergraduate career, Lauren was appointed the first student member of the Georgia 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees and made the Athletic Honor Roll, Dean’s List and President’s List. She received a Citizenship Award from Secretary of State Cathy Cox for service to her community, was a statewide speaker for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and was also chosen to attend the Governor’s Forum on Leadership held in Atlanta in 2004.  Lauren was selected as a member of the 2003 Southeastern Saturday’s Football Magazine SEC All-Star Spirit Team. She enjoyed cheering on the “Dawgs” as a UGA cheerleader for three years, serving as Captain her freshman year.

In 2001, Lauren graduated with Gifted and Honors Seals from Bleckley County High School in Cochran, Georgia. While in high school, she was elected vice-president of the Georgia State 4-H Board of Directors and chosen as one of Wendy’s High School Heisman Top Ten Female Scholar-Athletes for Georgia. She also served as Student Council President, participated in chorus, and held the leading female role in one-act play finishing third in state her senior year.

Lauren began performing at the age of 3 as a member of her church children’s choir.  At age 11, she began voice lessons.  She continued her passion as a member of many school, church and collegiate productions including: “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” “Unhappily Ever After,” and “Three on a Bench.”  Recently, Lauren has been a featured vocalist at the Remembrance Ceremony for Red Ribbon Week, Wesley Outreach and Parking Services Musical at the University of Georgia.  She currently studies voice with Cheryl Varnadoe of Clovers & Company.

Partnered with the 4-H Organization, Lauren is an avid volunteer for her platform “Youth Leadership.”  As a fifth grade student, Lauren began her project work in the 4-H Club.  She feels that the interactive leadership, citizenship and life skill experiences she had during her involvement with 4-H have changed the way she views the possibilities for her life.  Pulling from her own personal experiences, Lauren has spoken to thousands of youth across the state of Georgia about the benefits of interactive Youth Leadership.  Currently, Lauren is employed as a grant writer for The Georgia 4-H Club Foundation, the non-profit sector of Georgia 4-H, where she works to fund “hands on” youth education programs throughout Georgia and serves as the faculty advisor for the UGA Collegiate 4-H Club.

Lauren is the daughter of David and Debbi Sawyer and Dean and Sandy Ledbetter.  She has a sister Chelsea Sawyer, 14 and brother Zachary Ledbetter 7.
